A Winsford woman who had her driving licence revoked due to a disability has been banned from the road again after being caught drink-driving almost twice the legal limit.
Court Appearance
Andrea Teece, 53, of John Street, appeared at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on September 9 facing two motoring charges.
The court heard that on July 9, she was stopped while driving a Vauxhall Corsa along St George’s Road in Winsford. Checks revealed that her licence had been revoked back in March 2020 because of her disability and she had never been granted a new one.
Almost Double the Limit
A blood test showed Teece had 133mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood—well above the legal limit of 80mg.
Sentence
She admitted both drink-driving and driving after revocation of a licence due to disability. Taking her guilty plea into account, magistrates handed her:
