In a recent court ruling, Jamie Harrison, a 32-year-old resident of High Street, Madeley, has been handed a three-year driving ban. This decision came after Harrison was found guilty of several driving offences, including operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The incident occurred on July 22, when Harrison was intercepted by police while driving a BMW 320D on Bridgnorth Road, Madeley. His breath test results showed an alcohol concentration of 57 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of breath, significantly above the legal limit of 35.
Harrison’s offences extended beyond drink driving; he was also driving without a valid licence and insurance. At his hearing at Telford Magistrates Court on September 26, he admitted to these charges, along with the offence of using a vehicle in a potentially dangerous manner due to overloading with passengers.
As a consequence of his actions, Harrison has been banned from driving for three years. Additionally, he was given a 24-month conditional discharge and is required to pay £135 in legal costs and a £26 surcharge.
