Four individuals were arrested after police discovered them pushing a broken-down car along a motorway slip road — all while allegedly under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The incident occurred just after 9am on Saturday, 24 May, when officers responded to reports of a white Audi A3 being pushed along the A3(M) southbound off-slip at junction 3, near Waterlooville. Concerned for the safety of those involved, police attended the scene.
Upon arrival, officers detected a strong smell of alcohol, prompting them to conduct roadside breathalyser and drug wipe tests. All four individuals tested positive and were subsequently arrested.
