Mr T faced a potential ban under the totting-up provisions. He already had 6 points on his driving licence and then faced a further 6 points in facing a charge of Failing To Furnish Information. By accruing another 6 points this would have taken him to a total of 12 points putting him at risk of an immediate driving ban. Carl put forward an Exceptional Hardship argument following which the court drew back from imposing a ban.
Result
Location: Scarborough Magistrates Court
Offence: Totting Up
Outcome: Ban avoided
