It has now been reported that golfing legend Tiger Woods has been arrested for drink driving in Florida.
News feeds have reported how Woods was arrested in the early hours of the morning and then released a short time later.
The police record shows that he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).
The report continues to specify an unlawful blood blood level; and he was released “on his own recognisance”, which means he has promised to co-operate with all future legal proceedings.
It is widely known that Woods has been suffering from a long term back injury and has blogged how after surgery he hadn’t felt “this good in years”.
He also blogged that he was looking forward to a return to competitive golf, but he was in no hurry.
“I want to play professional golf again but I’m not looking ahead,” he said. “I can’t twist for another two and a half to three months. Right now, my sole focus is rehab and doing what the doctors tell me. I am concentrating on short-term goals.”
