A man from Dundee, who was caught drink driving and gave a reading that put him six times over the limit, has been disqualified from driving for three years.
The driver, Mark Smith had been stopped beside a shopping centre.
The court heard that Smith, who admitted to binge drinking that day, had no recollection of driving.
In delivering a sentence of 3 years disqualification and 200 hours of unpaid work, Sheriff Alastair Brown stated: “I want to underline that drink drivers kill and injure people.
“You were not only putting yourself at risk but other people as well.”
